The human hand is the only way to actually create an organic soft line. I have captured a multitude of organic lines by carving them into these porcelain vessels prior to firing. This piece has a white luster glaze and cobalt slip in the depth of the carving which pops the soft shapes |

DESERTSCAPES Until I moved to Las Vegas I never thought about the desert. After five years of living in Las Vegas I have found it's beauty. After Throwing and carving these bowls are sprayed with slip and sanded to pop the detail. The carbon trapping and blushing in the glaze is very exciting to me. It reminds me the work I created as a child with a wood burning tool. |
